Prior to entering the practice of law, Attorney Thomas James completed a distinguished career in law enforcement. His experience includes 4 years as a Military Police Officer in the U.S. Marines, and 27 years with the West Allis police Department. He spent 10 years in the Patrol Division and 17 as a Detective, with 6 of those in the Sensitive Crimes Bureau, engaged exclusively in the investigation of sexual assault and child abuse. Attorney James witnessed numerous injustices at the hands of Law Enforcement and now taps into his vast understanding of its inner workings to vigorously defend his clients in the area of criminal law. Attorney James is acutely aware that while many will treat your case as routine, it is the most urgent thing going on in your life. Attorney James received his Bachelor’s Degree from U.W. Milwaukee in Criminal Justice/English literature. He has earned a Master’s Degrees in Criminal Justice from U.W. Milwaukee, a second Master’s Degree in Theology from Sacred Heart School of Theology, a law degree from Marquette University and is a member in good standing of the Wisconsin Bar Association.
